My real name is Steven Hidy. I am a computer technician, programmer, and a general all-around computer guy. I am currently 19 years old, and reside in the Quincy, Illinois area. People often ask me whether or not I'm single; yes, there is only one of me.

I've also been asked a few times from where I got the handle "subxero". I used to be a big fan of Mortal Kombat, and used several handles from that game. I settled on "Sub-zero", but it seems that many other people had, as well. I intentionally began misspelling it as "subxero" and that seemed to alleviate the "already been taken" problem for the most part.

I use three computers simultaneously. One is operating in dual-monitor mode, and my other is operating in single monitor mode. The monitor on the left is connected to Glagnar and the middle and right-side monitor are connected to Orion. The third machine is not visible in this picture; it is connected to only the wall, and my network, and is used as a local web host and for network-attached storage, as well as a game server host, among other things.

Orion is an AMD Athlon 3000+ (2.0 GHz) with 1 GB RAM, a GeForce 6600, and 2 x 400 GB Western Digital SATA disks, as well as a LiteOn DVD+/-R drive.

Glagnar is an AMD Athlon X2 3800+ (2.0 GHz) with 1.5 GB RAM, an ATI Radeon 3870, an 80 GB Seagate SATA disk, and a 120 GB Seagate SATA disk. This is primarily used for more intensive applications and tasks.

Rosalie is my server, and it runs Windows Server 2003, Apache, PHP 5, MySQL, and various other things (such as an FTP server and a few game servers.) It is an AMD Athlon XP 2200+ (1.8 GHz) with 1 GB RAM, no graphics card, a 40 GB Western Digital PATA disk, and 2 x 200 GB Maxtor PATA disks, as well as a custom dual power supply solution (using a relay to synchronize the power supplies.)
